OIJ CR Safe 1.4.1

This application is presented by the Judicial Investigation Agency of Costa Rica to facilitate access to justice.

It features two user profiles: National and Tourist.

The National profile offers the following services:

• Rompe Cadenas: This section allows users to verify the authenticity of information circulating on social media. If the information is deemed false, it will be forwarded to a specialist for further analysis.
• Avisos: Stay informed with the latest news and activities from the Judicial Investigation Agency.
• Estadísticas: Direct access to the OIJ's Police Statistics System.
• Consejos útiles: A collection of audio tips in mp3 format provided by the OIJ, aimed at helping individuals avoid becoming victims of crime.
• Directorio policial: Access contact information for the heads of various OIJ offices, including full names, phone numbers, email addresses, and operating hours. Users can download the complete directory or share office information via any preferred method.
• Más buscados: A list of the ten most wanted individuals.
• Reclutamiento OIJ: Detailed information regarding the OIJ recruitment process, with links and essential documentation available.
• Redes Sociales: Direct access to the OIJ’s official social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

The Tourist profile includes the following services:

• Números de Emergencia: Quick access to emergency numbers such as 911 and other important contacts for additional inquiries.
• Guía policial: Contact information for heads of various OIJ offices, featuring full names, phone numbers, email addresses, and operating hours.
• Consejos: Useful advice provided by the Judicial Investigation Agency specifically for tourists.
• Redes sociales: Direct access to the OIJ’s official social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
• CICO: A form for submitting confidential information.
• Ubícanos: Locations of offices are color-coded for easy navigation. Users can search for offices directly on a map or in a dropdown list and establish a route from their current location to the selected office.
• Notificaciones: Users can activate notifications to receive helpful tips in various areas of the country, including airports, beaches, transport terminals (bus and train), and official car rental agencies. Once activated, the application must run in the background to deliver notifications. Internet access is required to load information initially; however, it can be used offline as long as it remains in the background.
